• The next itiration of the Trans Augrabies MTB Stage race will be held from 14 - 15 June 2025.

The Handicap Timekeeping System is the First of its kind in South Africa! By using a formula, we are levelling the timekeeping playfield for riders of any age and gender to compete for the Overall Handicap Position.

This formula gives advantage to the veterans and females to see how they compare to the young and fiery racing snakes in the prime of their sports career.

• The minimum age requirement for riders with elite racing licenses is 18 years of age by the 31st December. 
• If a rider is younger than 18, he/she must apply to enter by sending a short history of races done and their training schedule to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. They automatically fall into the 18 – 23 year age schedule.

• Click on “EVENT ENTRIES” or “Entry Form” from the main menu.
• Select either Single Stage, or Two Stage Race from the “SELECT EVENT TO ENTER” item.
• IF choosing the Single Stage Race, a new item will appear: “Select Stage(s)”.
  Indicate which Day/Stage you would like to compete. Select a stage from the Checkboxes next to “Select Stage(s)”.
• IF you are entering as part of a GROUP, select “Yes”, next to “GROUP RIDER”. Then enter the name of your Group in the new field, “GROUP NAME”. Double check that you and your teammates all use the same spelling for your Group Name so that you can be automatically assigned to your group. - Please note, however, that prizes are only awarded to individual riders.
• Now complete the RIDER, EMERGENCY and BILLING DETAILS sections.
• Select any of the available OPTIONAL EXTRAS if you would like to include them in your order.
• IF selecting the Dine in the Bunch option, a new field will appear. Please use this field to indicate the quantity of Meal Services you would like to order. If it will be only you, enter 1, if you are bringing family or friends as supporters indicate how many here.
• IF selecting the Official Race Jersey option, a drop down will appear. Please select your jersey size from the drop down menu. (Additional merch available from our Shop)
• No additional options for the Bike Service.
• When you have completed the above sections, you can proceed to make payment.
• IF you were issued a COUPON code for this event, please enter it now and it will be deducted from your Amount Payable at the bottom.
• Select your preferred payment option.
• IF you wish to pay now, use the Online payment option through PayFast. They offer a variety of ways to pay, including Debit and Credit Card, Instant EFTs and more. Entry is submitted upon payment confirmation and your race number is automatically assigned.
• IF you would like to pay later, use the Offline Payment Option (EFT). When selecting this option, you will be issued with an Invoice and will need to make payment via Bank Transfer at your earliest convenience. Please note that race numbers will only be assigned once payment reflects in our bank account.

• PAY NOW: We use PayFast as our payment processor. They offer the following payment options for you to choose from: Debit Card, Credit Card, Instant EFT, and more.
• PAY LATER: Use EFT/Bank Transfers to make payment. After submitting your entry form you will receive our banking details. Please make payment at your earliest convenience, keeping Early-bird discount cutoff dates in mind.

• Any medical expenses incurred or evacuation costs will be for the riders’ personal account.
• Meals are not included in the standard fee, but can be ordered on the entry form.
• The pro bike service is not included in the standard fee, but can be ordered on the entry form. Additional costs may apply for replacement parts, however.

• Accommodation is available at the official race village in Augrabies Falls National Park in the form of chalets or camping stands. Please book your accommodation through our Online Shop if you would like to stay in the park during the event.
• Alternatively, if these are sold out, there is a wide variety of accommodation options in the area surrounding the park. Here is a list of our favourites.

• Only registered users can order items from the Online Shop. Log in to your account to place an order or enter your first event to register an account on the site.

• Please note that accounts are created when you enter your first event, not before.

E-MTB and Gravel E-bikes are allowed to take part, but can not compete for the prizes.

If you need to cancel the following refund policy applies:

• More than 4 months before THE RACE:  75% of fee’s refunded
• More than 2 months before THE RACE:  50% of fee’s refunded
• Less than 2 months before THE RACE:   0% of fee’s refunded

Entries are not transferable to the following year.
However, if the Trans Augrabies MTB race has to be canceled or postponed due to COVID 19, your entrance fee will be transferred in full to the next Trans Augrabies MTB race.
